Antique Birch Bark Woven Pack Basket with Flap

Found at an Estate sale is this very old unique Adirondack pack basket with flap.  Made from Birch Bark strips and twigs.   As you can see from the inside picture, the twigs holding the wrapped birch bark are loose and/or missing-therefore the straps (which have seen better days) do not stay attached to the top back.  It has a twig latch with replacement tie.  Comes with the original hanging hook which can still be used with the not original jute hanger on the back.    Measures about 19" tall by 16" wide.  Some breaks and wear as expected but still a sturdy piece for display. $165.00
