Unique glazed clay/stoneware Chinese Koi Fish roof tile.
The Koi is one of the several natural or mythical creatures/figures that adorn roof edges of Chinese official buildings and structures. Brightly painted and glazed ceramic roof tiles of these natural or mythical creatures are often lined up several in a row atop Chinese structures.
This one measures about 10″ tall by 8 3/4″ long not counting the unglazed “tab” that would fit under the roof tile.  Does have a couple small glaze flakes, a tiny chip out of the top and one chip out of the base.  Still in awesome condition considering the age and application.
