Description
Vintage 1930-50’s solid Bakelite large oversized Clothespin paper clip, desk clip. Made in Europe, most likely Italy. Made from a type of phenolic plastic – known in the US under brand name Catalin- beautiful heavy solid swirled and shiny Bakelite. 188 Grams of which a small portion is from the metal name plate and hardware. In awesome condition, with only some very faint wear on the bottom where it was slid across the desk. Nice tension with no chips, cracks or repairs. Measures about 5 3/4″ long by 1 3/8″ wide. Name plate reads: “EVASO” which means escaped in Italian.
