Antique 1900’s Hemp Rope Braided Ship Boat Marine Bumper Fender

Antique original American industrial hand woven marine rope padded boat bumper or fender. Stuffed with an old canvas tarp of some kind (see picture).  Originally used to prevent a ship or boat from being damaged while docked. Surface wear and discoloration evident. the rope handle is tightly secured to the bumper. Weighs about 15 pounds and measures about 16″ x 16″ x 7″.  Unique piece and lots of work!
